Eric D. Higgins

   He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Irvin Higgins, grandmother Elizabeth Higgins and father-in-law, Milbert Leslie.

   He loved the outdoors and adventures on his four-wheeler, riding trails and mud racing. He enjoyed being able to work and tinker on things, taking them apart and putting them back together. He was a son, brother, husband, dad, Pawpaw, and friend that will be deeply missed. 

   He leaves behind his wife Alisha Higgins; daughters, Iesha Higgins, Alyssa Coyle, Erica Higgins, Alexis Higgins, Aleaha Higgins, and Ashawnda Higgins, his mother, Rosie Higgins; granddaughters, Ava, and Grace Mattingly; his sisters, Tonya Higgins, and Mary Moore; mother-in-law, Linda Leslie, along with a host of family and friends. 

     Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Mt. Eden Cemetery.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 1 pm until 8 pm on Thursday and 9 am until time of service at 12 noon at Hardy-Close Funeral Home. Donations are being accepted for the cost of services.
