John Thomas Montgomery Jr.

   John Thomas Montgomery Jr., age 73 of Shivley, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was a Pentecostal by faith and an Evangelist. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Montgomery Sr., his mother Mary Montgomery; along with his sisters Linda Best and Joyce Myers.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his son, John Thomas Montgomery, III (Renee); his daughters, Cheryl Keith (David) and Peggy Nixon (Dan); his grandchildren, Jesse Montgomery, Rachel Justice (Jesse) and Austin Cecil; his nieces, Bevy Bennett (Greg) and Karen Ulery (Scott); his former wife, Maureen Thompson (Ron); along with his soon-to-be great granddaughter, Brynlee Justice and a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Noon at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Penn Run Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Hardy Close Funeral Home.
