Mary L. Martin age 83 of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on December 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Martin; daughter, Rita Mitchell; sisters, Josephine Thornhill, Lucille Richards and Geraldine Payne. She was a retiree of General Electric. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandsons, Jeff Mitchell (Denise), Daryl Mitchell (Roxanne), Jimmy Mitchell (Tara); brothers, Floyd Spurling, Charles Samuels; sister, Helen Richardson. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Friends may pay their respects from 1 pm until 8 pm on Friday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
