Mary Katherine Morris

  Mary Katherine Morris, age 72 of Nicholasville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.  Mary was born on Friday, February 1, 1952, in Casey County to the late Cyrus and Irene Arnold Walls.

  Mary was a member of Nicholasville Church of God; she was a faithful and loving servant who loved Jesus and her church family. She was an AMAZING mother not only to her children but to those that lived in her neighborhood. She had a big-heart, and loving soul that would help anyone in need many times taking in children and raising them as her own.  A loving mother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed by all those that loved her.

  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Floyd Walls and Helen Slaven, Frances Sherrow and her loving niece, Theresa Tillett.

  She leaves behind her children, Joey Morris, Tammy Gail Morris (Jessica Noble), Crystal Danielle Jones (Kevin), Austin Dore, and the one and only CANTON EVANS; siblings, Rebecca Spicer, Charles Walls, John Walls, Sue Walls, Everett Walls and Freda Clift; her ex-husband and friend, Larry Morris, along with a host of dearly loved nieces, nephews and friends.  

  The family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with cremation to honor the final wishes of Mary. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Nicholasville Church of God at 1651 Wilmore Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356. Family and friends will be welcomed to pay their respects and share their memories from 1pm until the time of service at 3pm at Nicholasville Church of God.
