Randall Tom Coy

   Randall “Tom” Coy age 69, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 21, 2023. He was born in Shepherdsville, on October 23, 1953, to the late Jewel and Dorothy Coy. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie, sisters, Linda, and Joyce.

   Tom was a Baptist by faith and a member of First General Baptist Church. He loved to fish. He was a people person, and everywhere he went he always knew someone. Tom was a loving dad and papaw. He was a loving, kind man with a huge heart, that will greatly be missed by all those that knew and loved him.

   He is survived by his loving wife, Devonia Coy; his children, Terry-Lynn, Arthur, Dawn, Taunna Kay, Kenny, Marie, Tina Mae, Billy Lee, Johnathan Michael, and Thomas Bailey; 39 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; his siblings, June, Jill, Donnie, and Gary; several, nieces and nephews that loved him very much, along with a host of friends.

   Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11 am until 3 pm in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville, with cremation to follow. A dinner will be held in honor of Tom following the visitation at First General Baptist Church at 445 West Blue Lick Road. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the funeral home for the cost of services.
