Rose Hall

Rose Hall, age 97, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was born on Thursday, November 29, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jasper and Cordie Litton. Rose was a Christian by faith and an active member of First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville.

Rose and her husband Ralph opened M.R. Hall Jeweler’s in 1948, in Shepherdsville. After Ralph’s passing in 1983, she continued to run the business marking 50 years of service in 1998. Rose enjoyed traveling and took many trips with her family and friends. She was a loving mom, granny, great-gran, sister and friend that will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Ralph Hall, her sister, Edna Griffis and brother, Forrest Litton.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory her son, James R. Hall (Donna); she was blessed with 2 grandsons who lovingly called her Granny, Matthew Hall (Megan), and Adam Hall (Amy), along with 3 great-grandsons, Brady, Jack Henry, and Nate; a brother Doyle Litton; dear friend, Shirley Hall along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:30 am at First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville, 254 S. Buckman Street with Sam Killman officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street from 4pm to 8 pm and will continue Monday at the church at 9:30 am until time of service.
