William "Bill" Horn

   William “Bill” Horn age 86 of Henryville, Indiana, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was born on July 1, 1935 and married Helen Cook on June 2, 1989. They spent their years together gardening and canning and to the care of their pets. Bill enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing and visiting everyone. He retired from Container Corporation of America in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ritz and Alice Horn; grandson, Bryan O’Bannon; brothers, Wesley Horn, Harold Horn and Donald Horn; sisters, Marie Sander, Alice Yates and Barbara Horn.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 32 years, Helen Horn; daughters, Janice Huter (Jack), Vicki O’Bannon (Kevin Christman), Linda Boyd (Bob) and Cathy Guthrie (Jerry); stepsons, Frankie Jewell, Charles Jewell and Bobby Jewell Jr.; 6 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandson and a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 and from 9 am until time of service on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.

   To honor the wishes of the family, services for Mr. Horn will be limited to family members and close friends only.
