Barbara Jean Ford

Mrs. Barbara Jean Ford, age 71, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 30, 2018. She was born in Muhlenberg County to the late Mr. Curtis and Joy (Colburn) Romans. She was admired by many because of her close relationship with her family and was called “Mom” by all who knew her and loved her job as a manger of 17 years at Fantastic Sam's. She will be missed by her loving dachshund “Baby”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Ford; brother, Harry Romans; and grandchild, James Marcellous Hibbs, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Danny Daugherty Jr. (Denise), Christy Frey (Willy), Robin Hibbs (James); grandchildren, Torie and Kylee Daugherty, Kayla (D. J.), and Kesley Frey (Jessica), Ellen, James, and Karissa Hibbs; great grandchildren, Makinlee and  Preslee Atherton, Bentley and, Kyser Frey; brother, Chris Romans (Linda), sisters, Carmin Glover (Kenny), Betsy Quire (Ron), and Pam Gosewehr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (John Harper and Preston Hwy.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 12:00 pm till time of service at the funeral home.
