

Bard Randolph Hamilton, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at the age of 65. A longtime Mt. Washington, Kentucky resident, Bard lived his life with an unwavering faith in God, unconditional love for his family and friends, and a deep dedication to his work and community.
Bard was known as the life of the party, always bringing joy, laughter, and a welcoming spirit to every gathering. His love for smoking meats and hosting holidays created countless fond memories for family and friends alike, as his home was always filled with warmth, good food, and fellowship. He found great joy in serving his church, leading a Southeast small group with a deep sense of purpose and faith, guiding many on their spiritual journeys.
Bard married the love of his life, Sheri, on May 9, 1981. His love and commitment to his beautiful wife was unmatched, followed closely by his unwavering devotion to the Louisville Cardinals. (Go Cards!)
A pillar of the community, Bard recently retired from Mercer Transportation after an impressive 42-year career, leaving behind a lasting legacy of loyalty and leadership. His contributions will forever be remembered by colleagues, neighbors, and friends, whose lives he touched in immeasurable ways.
Bard was preceded in death by his father, Charles, mother, Marian, and stepmother, Katie.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheri; his son, Aaron; his daughter, Morgan and her husband, John; and his grandson, Vinny, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Bryon (Ann), Kent (Diane), Kris, and Kirk, and brothers-in-law, Mark (Gina), Marty (Marie), Brennan (Denise), and Tyler, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews, all of whom shared a close bond with him.
In his memory, the family will be hosting a celebration of his life at Southeast Christian Church-Bullitt County Campus at 220 Armstrong Lane, in Mt. Washington, KY on Friday, October 4 from 2pm till 8pm, and on Saturday, October 5 from 9am until the time of service at 11am. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park with a private burial.

Bard will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of those he left behind. May he rest in peace in the arms of his Savior.
