Bobby Joe Overstreet

Mr. Bobby Joe Overstreet, age 57, returned to his Heavenly Father on February 5, 2019. He was born in Louisville, KY on September 11, 1961 to Mr. James E. Overstreet and the late Mrs. Nancy (Osborne) Overstreet. He was employed 25 years by Wehr Construction as a supervisor. He will be remembered as a caring and giving person whose favorite saying was “It will be alright!” He will be greatly missed by his family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (Osborne) Overstreet; and wife, Shelia Overstreet.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Andrea Vaughn (Chris), Jacob Overstreet and Sean Overstreet; granddaughter, Katlynn Vaughn; father, James Overstreet; brothers, Frankie Overstreet, Harold Overstreet (Lynn) and Johnnie Overstreet (Brenda); sister, Doris Overstreet (Jose); and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Friends may pay their respects on Saturday, from 11:00 am till time of service at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen by the family.
