Carl Martin

Carl Martin, age 80, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at U of L Health- Jewish Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a retired factory worker and Union President of Local 1643.

He enjoyed first, and foremost his family. A close second was his love of horse racing and blackjack. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Graham and grandson, Corey Minrath. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ellen Faye (Smith) Martin; children, Doug Martin (Lisa) and Sheila Minrath (Gary); grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicholas, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Nyles, Lilly, Remi and David; sister, Jo Ann; and a host of extended family and friends. 

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 5:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy 44E @ 123 Winning Colors Drive) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1:00pm until the service time at the funeral home.
