Carol Ann Hester

Mrs. Carol Ann Hester, age 74, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Mrs. Hester was born in Louisville, KY on March 28, 1947 to the late Martin Metcalf, Sr. and Pearl Riggs Metcalf.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her brothers, Jim, Joe, Billy and Charlie.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Gerald Ray Hester; children, Cheryl Hester (Paul), Geralyn Metcalf (Dustin) and David Merrick (Susan); grandchildren, Vanessa, Rebecca, Shelby, Benjamin, Colton, Casie and Lucas; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary, Theresa, Connie, Shirley, Rita, Debbie and Martin and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
