Christopher Ayden Clark

Mr. Christopher “Bubbie” Ayden Clark, age 14, of Valley Station returned to his Heavenly Father on January 25, 2023. Christopher was born on May 27, 2008, in Louisville, KY to Chris and Bianca (Mattingly) Clark. Christopher was a freshman at Doss High School and was a member of the bowling team. He was an artist and loved Spartans. He loved playing checkers and video games. He loved his sister and his dogs. His favorite vacation spot was Gatlinburg, TN where he could spend time in the cabin and hot tub. Christopher attended Valley View Church. Among those that preceded him in death are his mamaw, Wilhelmina Taylor; great-grandmothers, Sudie “Honey” Lloyd, Rosemary Miller, Margie Mattingly, and Wanda “Grandma Wolf” Densford; and his canine companion, Lily.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Chris and Bianca (Mattingly) Clark; sister, Alexis Clark; grandparents, Lawrence Mattingly, “Grandma Tigger” Karen Lloyd (Miguel Rodriguez), and Forest Clark (Crystal); great-grandfather, Herman Mattingly; best friend and cousin, David; uncle, David “Dewer” Enlow (Brittany); aunts, Paula “Aunt Lala” Lloyd (Bill) and Susie Mattingly; cousins, Abbi, Mia, Daniel, and Josh; cousin, Matthew Craven (Jonathan); his canine companions, Rosie and Poppy; several aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 4-8 pm, Tuesday from 10 am until 8 pm, and Wednesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
