Claude Thomas Brown

Mr. Claude Thomas Brown, age 77, of Louisville passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021. Mr. Brown was born in Tennessee to the late Claude and Dora Brown. As a young adult, he held various jobs including picking tomatoes and working in a nursing home.  He eventually settled into a position with a corrugated paper company, where he worked for 41 years before retiring. He loved intelligent conversations and would discuss subjects like history, politics, the old west and many more. He enjoyed music and reading, particularly science fiction and westerns. He would frequent flea markets, used bookstores and yard sales for good deals. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jimmy and Donald Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, David Brown; daughter, Danita Brown; brother, Doug Brown; 4 nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 12 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 2 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
