Clifton "Ray" Flener

Mr. Clifton “Ray” Flener, age 85, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with his family by his side. Ray was born in Morgantown, Kentucky to the late Marcus Flener and Numa May (Romans) Flener. He retired after 30 years of service with General Electric, were he served as a Union Steward, and he was acknowledged for never missing a day of work. Ray also worked as a butcher for the old K & I meat market in downtown Louisville, he loved working with his hands he was a great carpenter he built his home in Shepherdsville, Ky. Most of all Ray loved his family and he will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife of 58 years Anna Marie Flener.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Cheryl L. Flener-Poindexter (Keaven), three grandchildren, Angelita Poindexter, Christal Monahan, and Jesse Stewart. Along with several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway) from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
