Darryl Wayne Fields

Darryl Wayne Fields, age 62, of Fairdale, Ky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with his family by his side. Darryl was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 16, 1963, to the late Clay Fields and Mary (Hibbard) Fields. He was a member of Fairdale United Baptist Church, he loved his mother dearly, and enjoyed spending time with his sisters, nieces and nephews, and especially liked holding and rocking them. He loved laughing, enjoyed bluegrass music, an avid Kentucky Wild Cats Fan, and loved having company over. Darryl was in the Special Olympics, where he liked playing softball and basketball. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He was preceded in death by his Father Clay Fields. 

He is survived by his mother Mary Fields, sisters Sherry Drane, Aletha Rusher (Mick), 4 nieces Amanda Miracle, Amber Mc Clure (Greg), Tara Bow (Kevin), Tonya German (Wes), 9 great nieces and nephews.  Along with a host of other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Pastor Jeff Burden and Minister David Seabolt to conduct services. The visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Visitation again Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Mt. Washingt
