Among those that preceded her in death include her parents; son, Scotty Desurne; sister, Shirley Cadarette and granddaughter, Richere Phelps.

Mrs. Murphy leaves to cherish her memory her children, Mike Desurne, and Crystal Hughes (Shannon David); grandchildren, Michael Shannon Phelps, Amber Phillips, and Samantha Desurne; great grandchild, Danny Phillips; brothers, Sonny Murphy (Sandy), and Charles Murphy (Peggy); sisters, Lana Moore (Dorland), and Vickie McIntosh (Michael); Nieces and nephews, Melissa Willis, Melody Guthie, Troy Murphy, Kim Redmon, Brian Murphy, Stephanie Button, Rebecca Linton, Craig McIntosh, Wayne Cadarette, Ricky Cadarette, Tim Cadarette, Cynthia Cadarette, and Aimee Gillispie; and a whole host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at Brooks Road, Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165) with burial in Jeffersontown Cemetery to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 1:00 pm till 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
