Everett Clay Lee

Everette Clay Lee, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 16, 2025.

Born on May 30, 1936, in Colesburg, Kentucky. Everett was the son of the late Benny Leslie Lee and Agnes Montgomery Lee. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960.

Everett had a lifelong love for classic films and spent many years collecting vintage photographs and autographs. A dedicated genealogist, he took great pride in exploring and preserving his family history. In his later years he volunteered with the Bullitt County Historical Society, where he enjoyed giving tours of the old county jail and sharing knowledge of local history with visitors.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry Lee, in 2021, and by three of his siblings.

He is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey Lee, Paul Lee (Lisa), and Philip Lee; as well as multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy and memory.

A private graveside service for family, will be held in the family cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville or the Bullitt County Historical Society.
