

Born on February 8, 1945, in Bristol, TN, to parents Ted and Hester (Rosenbaum) Green, Frances grew up in Bristol and graduated from Holston Valley High School. She attended The Salvation Army Church as a young girl with her mother. Frances was a faithful Employee and Soldier of The Salvation Army for more than 60 years. She worked as a Bookkeeper and Church Office Manager at the Louisville Adult Rehabilitation Center and at the South Louisville Corps, until she retired in 2020.
Frances will be remembered for her love of Jesus and care of others. She always had a sweet smile and is remembered for her encouraging spirit. Frances was a beautiful example of a faithful servant of the Lord. Those who knew her described her as a strong, kind, grace filled lady, who loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her greatest legacy is the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, John White, spouse Jimmy Phillips; son, David Lee White; granddaughter, Amanda McKnight; grandson Kenneth Sauer, Jr.; four brothers and eight sisters.
She is survived by her Children, Richard White (Kathy), Carla Leon (Macario), Dorothy Hernandez, John Thomas White, Rebeca Rustrian (Cruz Olvera), and Amanda Ramirez; 30 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at The Salvation Army 1010 Beecher Street, Louisville, KY 40215 with burial to follow at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at The Salvation Army, 1010 Beecher Street, Louisville, KY from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Frances will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith, family, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
