Herschel Ray Carter

Mr. Carter was born August 12, 1932 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a retired supervisor from LG & E and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, Otha and Sarah Ball Carter; son-in-law, David Headley; granddaughters, Kristen Headley and Heather Carter and siblings, Kenneth, Willard and Marie Carter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 65 years, Betty Carter; children, Danny Carter, Karen Headley and Cindy Sheroan (Kevin); grandchildren, Brandon (Brittany), Holly (Matt), Dustin (Chassidy), Brittany and Bradley; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brooklyn, Aiden, Aleyah, Bryson, Matthew, Bracey and Aria; siblings, J.C. Carter, Imogene Jameson, Phillip Carter, Ava Doss and Janice Browning.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 5708 Preston Hwy, Louisville with burial in Penn Run Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects Friday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) and Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the church.
