JACKIE RAMSEY SR.

Mr. Jackie Ramsey Sr., age 92, of Bullitt Co., Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Audubon Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1933, in Springfield, Kentucky. Mr. Ramsey retired from General Electric where he was an inspector. He coached two different Softball teams, Rumblers and Wacos that went and won the world series he was inducted into Louisville softball ASA Hall of Fame in March 1992. He was a Past Master of Robinson Plumb Lodge 266 where he was a 50-year member. He was a Past Monarch of Aahmed Grotto and a member of Kosair Shine Temple, member of Scottish Rite and Zoneton Easter Star Chapter and a past President of Postmaster of Kosair Shrine. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Ann Ramsey; daughter, Shirleen Crenshaw; sister, Jeanette Cook; two granddaughters, Lisa and Brandy Coy. He leaves to cherish his memory of his children, Jackie Ramsey Jr. (Lynn), Robin Coy and Renee Walls (Jesse); grandchildren, Christy, Jackie III, Alyssa, Brianna, Chasity, David, Scotty, Richard, Jennifer, Jessica and Amanda; 21 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Brookland Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, 4-8 pm and Tuesday 10 am-8 pm and Wednesday 9am until time of service. Scottish Rite service will be at 6:30 p.m. and a Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
