James L. Downs

Downs, James L. age 61 of Bullitt County returned to his Heavenly Father October 5, 2016 at Norton Brownsboro. He worked in electrical repair for Ford Motor Company, and was an Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Coyle-Downs. Mr. Downs leaves to cherish his memory, wife, June Downs; daughters, Chassidy Weatherford (Dustin), Amanda Downs (Will Meredith), Angie Nixon (Casey); grandchildren, Savanna Weatherford, Bryan Mixon, Addison Meredith, Nora Nixon, Ellie Nixon; brothers, Donald (Kim), Kenny, Bobby Downs (Debbie); and sister Donna Casey (Steve). Funeral Service will be conducted 10 am Monday October 10, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy and Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow service. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday October 9, 2016 between 2 - 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Monday until time of service.
