James McVay

James Gaylord McVay age 83 of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on May 29, 2016. Among those who preceded him in death are his parents, Archie and Esta McVay; son, John Richard McVay and brother, Benjamin McVay. He was a retired 20 years Army Veteran of Korea, Germany and was a plant operator of Jefferson County Public School. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Esta Marie McVay, Rose Mary Brown (Steven); step son, Kevin McVay (Kathy); brother, Lawerence McVay (Ellen) and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 7pm Thursday June 2, 2016 at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central at 11 am Friday. Friends may pay their respects from 2 pm until 7 pm on June 2, 2016 at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home.
