Jana Fae Austin

Jana is cherished in memory by her devoted daughter, Miranda Austin, and son-in-law, Scotty Jacobs. She was the proud grandmother of Addison, Amelia, and Hudson Jacobs, whose lives were sweetened by her infectious joy and unwavering support. Additionally, Jana's presence will be profoundly missed by her loving mother, Marianna Marples, and her siblings, Alicia Larson, Cheryl McKeehan, and Craig Austin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends who were like family.

For over 40 years, Jana’s passion for cooking brought people together and made every meal a celebration. Her dedication to her craft was more than just employment; it was an extension of her love for people and her desire to nourish not just the body, but the soul.

But beyond her professional accomplishments, Jana’s essence was most profoundly felt in the smaller, quieter moments. She was a beacon of affection and guidance in her loved ones' lives, embodying the archetype of the favorite aunt and an extraordinary grandmother. Jana lived for her grandchildren, cherishing every game, recital, and family gathering. Her ability to make each family member feel special, heard, and loved was one of her greatest gifts.

A celebration of life honoring Jana will be held at Minors Lane Baptist Church 8907 Shepherdsville Road, Okolona, Kentucky 40219 on Saturday February 7, 2026 starting at 4PM.

Due to sensitivities, the family has requested that if sending flowers to please not send any roses.
