Jay Scott

Mr. Scott was born September 26, 1943 in Celina, Tennessee. He was a United States Army veteran who served during Vietnam and a retired truck driver from A-1 Express. Mr. Scott was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating and camping, especially at Bailey's Point Campground on Barren River with his family. He loved his grandchildren dearly and was an avid U of K Wildcat fan.

He is preceded in death by his father, J.P. Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years, Linda Scott; children, Jeffrey Scott (Teri), Whitney Scott (Kevin) and Jennifer Brown (Chris); grandchildren, Jessie, Brayden, Landyn, Madalynn and Lily; mother, Eliza Scott; sister, Faye Anderson (Charles); niece and nephew, Cathy and Chris.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Friday at the funeral home.
