Jerry Jewell McCorkle

Mr. Jerry J. McCorkle, age 62, of Lebanon Junction, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 26, 2020 surrounded by his family, with his loving wife at his side. He was born on March 2, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky to Shirley McCorkle and the late Paul Malcom McCorkle. Mr. McCorkle was a member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church and a mechanic manager for Byerly Ford. His faith and his family were his whole life. He was a man of God who truly walked the walk. Mr. McCorkle shared his testimony with everyone he encountered from visiting other churches to prison ministries. He even shared the word of God at the grocery store which eventually lead him to meeting his pastor.  

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Becky McCorkle; mother, Shirley McCorkle; sons, David McCorkle and Greg McCorkle (Jessica); granddaughter, Alyssa McCorkle; brothers, Roger McCorkle (Debbie) and Michael McCorkle (Cindy); sister, Bonita Brown; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his church family; his hunting buddies; and his beloved fur-baby, L-ee Mae (who never left his side).

In lieu of flowers monetary donations can also be made to the family.

Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. All services will be private due to COVID-19.
