Jo Ann Crane

Jo Ann Crane, age 91 of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward and Henrietta (Huff) Knight. Jo Ann was a good Christian woman who was a lifetime member of Farmdale Church of the Nazarene. She loved children, opening her home to any child who might need her special loving care. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marvin Crane; son, Paul Eric Crane; sisters, Jackie Elder, Janet Selig and Judy Horton and son-in-law, Paul Doyle.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Marla Robinson (Larry) and LaDonna Shultz (David); son, Stuart Crane (Peggy); grandchildren, Autumn Roberts (Adam), Brandon Doyle (Susanne), Ashlea Browning (Matt), Lauren Wright (Steven), Cheyenne Crane, Jason Shultz (Lindsay), Jennifer Wisdom (Drew); honorary granddaughter, Stephanie Davis (Justin); great-grandchildren, Austin Roberts, Adison Roberts, Paul Doyle, Cooper Doyle, Ryleigh Wright, Samuel Doyle, Jackson Davis, Tripp Wright, Kingslee Shultz, Parker Davis, Kashton Wisdom and Kyla Wisdom; brothers, Ed Knight (Judy) and Gary Knight (Debbie) as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11 am at Farmdale Church of the Nazarene (6501 Vandre Ave. Louisville, KY. 40228) with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 1 pm until 8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 9 am until the time of the service at Farmdale Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, Jo Ann’s wishes were for donations be made to Farmdale Church of the Nazarene in her honor.
