Doris  I just learned of John's death while talking with a woman from Okolona Christian.  We worked together for many years at CST and while we butted heads on  occasion, he was a good friend and co-worker. He always enjoyed our card games at lunchtime, especially when his was the winning team..  God bless you and your family.

Dear Aunt Doris and Family, I was really sorry to hear of Uncle John's death. I have many fond memories of holidays that we all spent together. Also I remember nice times that I spent at your home. I especially liked playing in your basement as a child. I remember John as a man of firm convictions and know that he was a good Christian man who is now with the Lord. So sorry to hear of John's passing.  I didn't know him well, but I did get the chance to see him on occasion when he was visiting his family in Bloomington.  He was such a sweet, gentle and caring man who always had a story to tell, and I loved hearing his stories.    John, Junia, & Johnny, I know this is a very difficult thing to go through, especially with Meg being in the Philippines with her mother, but stay strong and lean on each other and God to get you through this.  Remember all of the wonderful memories God gave you with this sweet man and know that he is now with our Lord and someday we, too, will get to reunite with him.    I wish we could make it to the viewing, but we can't, so know we are with you in spirit and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Ray's passing. Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts, especially Mrs. Ray. I remember Mr. Ray as one of the Lord's good and faithful servants, he was a man to always be loved and respected as I  remember him serving tirelessly at Okolona Christian Church, as a "man of God". He was a wonderful example of a godly father to his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and also the youth at OCC. Mr. Ray was an godly influence in my life beginning at the age of 8 yrs. till I was 16 yrs. old, when I moved with my family to Hendersonville, Tennessee. I still remember his influence 46 yrs. later! I rejoice, he is now in the loving arms of our savior Jesus Christ, walking along side his grandson Sgt. Jim Ray, cradling his infant granddaughter (children of Jim and Donna Ray), who were there to welcome him into "The Heavenly Kingdom" on Thursday. He lived a long and meaning life for Jesus, others and as a "Patriot" of his country. He will be so missed by all that knew and loved him.
