John H. Willis

Mr. John Henry Willis, age 77, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 10, 2019. He was born on June 26, 1942 in Louisville to the late Henry C. Willis and Katherine B. Edwards Willis.

Mr. Willis was a member of Pewee Valley Lodge No. 829 F & A M. He retired from Teamster Local 89. Mr. Willis was an avid street rodder and a member of Okolona Street Rods.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma Jean Willis; daughter, Gwyn Obst and step son, Darrel Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Karen Edlin, her companion, Doug, Sherry Bowers (Don), John P. Willis (Michelle) and Bill Willis (Misty); step son, David Williams; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; beloved brother and best friend, George Willis (Dian) and faithful dog, Ella.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with private burial.
