Joseph Carney

Joseph H. Carney age 79 of Louisville was born August 14, 1934 to the late Frank and Birtha Burns Carney in Chaplin, KY and returned to his Heavenly Father October 27, 2013. Mr. Carney was a member of Meadow Hill Baptist Church and a retired truck driver for Jefferson Smurfit Stone Company serving 44 years of faithful service and a bus driver for Toby Tours for 12 years.

Among those who preceded him in death include his parents; sister, Dorothy Mae Trent; brothers, Leroy, Randall, Isaac and Norris Carney.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 61 years, Elizabeth V. Milburn Carney; sons, Pastor Joseph Stephen Carney (Yun) and Marcus Lynn Carney (Stacy); nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday at Schoppenhorst.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer's association.
