Joseph Earl Gonterman, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Earl Gonterman, Jr, age 66, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 6, 2023. He was born on November 28, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Gonterman, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Gonterman, Sr. and Betty Gonterman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Debra Gonterman; son, Joseph “Scott” Gonterman; daughter, Amanda Hope Gonterman; brother, Darrell “Marty” Gonterman (Marie); sister, Terry Cook (David); niece, Tina Wilson (Andrew); nephew, Michael Gonterman (Sarah); and niece, Megan Gonterman.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Friday from 12:00pm Noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Jude’s in Joseph’s memory.
