Joseph Emmanuel Hayden

Joseph Emmanuel Hayden, age 73 of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 8, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Hayden was born in Lebanon, Kentucky, on August 21, 1950, to the late Alfred and Mary (McConnell) Hayden. He was Christian by Faith and was a retired truck driver for Sysco.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Jason Todd Hayden.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 35 years, Donna Hayden; daughters, Holly Jo Riley (Patrick), Tobie Durham (Max) and Tabitha Dawn Hopkins (Steven); sons, Timothy Hayden (Lynn), Anthony Hayden (Sheryl) and Tom Hayden (Rita); brothers, Mac Hayden (Nancy) and Kevin Hayden (Crystal); sisters, Liz Rosser (Dave), Pat Fogle (Mike), Margie Hayden, Ann Odle, Carolyn Ritchie and Kathy Jackson (Jerald); 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear family and friends. Joe had a love of Texas Hold‘em and played in a monthly league for the past 15 years. He was an awesome Poker player!

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 2 o’clock pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Brookland Cemetery.  

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service.
