Joseph Delaney Parrish

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Delaney Parrish, age 85, of Hillview returned to his Heavenly Father on January 27, 2025. Mr. Parrish was born on September 19, 1939, in Louisville, KY to the late John and Inez (Stark) Parrish. He was a retired truck driver with Univar USA and member of Teamsters Local 89. He sang in the Lighthouse Quartet and was a member of Parkland Baptist Church. He was a former member of Farmdale Baptist Church and Little Flock Baptist Church. Among those that preceded him in death are Jan Parrish, his parents, daughter, Andrea Mattingly; and siblings, Donald, John, and Charles Parrish, Lois Swincher, Carol Hodges, Martha Braun, Marilynn Tripp, and Beverly Wadsworth.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 1 ½ years, Linda Parrish; children, Randall Parrish (Renee) with their children, Benjamin and Nathan; Ramona Belanger (Ed) with their children, Darren (Amy) and children, Canaan and Charis, Leia (Mike) and children, Wyatt, Abigail, and Kennedy; and Taylor (Mondre); Troy Parrish (Melissa) with their children, Martin and Kendall; and Andrea’s children, Vanessa (Allen) with their children, Kean and Parker, and Michael with his son, Joseph; and sister-in-law, Carol Parrish.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1-7 pm and Saturday from 11 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
