Julie Newton Anderson

   Julie Newton Anderson, 74, of Mt. Washington, KY passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Julie was born to the late Harold and Betty Newton in San Pedro, California on June 11, 1948. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved niece, Joey Lynn Carter. 

   She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Brian Anderson (Kay) and Cherie Anderson Beattie (Brad Ector); her brothers, Harold “Butch” Newton (Loni) and Glenn Newton (Helen); two grandsons, Sawyer and Alex Beattie; nieces and nephews; her best friend of 44 years, Helene Newman along with a host of other family and friends. 

   Julie loved trips to the beach, spending time with her grandsons and outings with her friends. To know Julie was to love her. She had a smile for everyone and had an infectious laugh. She was retired from Baptist Hospital East Behavioral Health where she remained friends with many of her co-workers.  

   Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 11 am until 2 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway in Shepherdsville). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.

   In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to Diabetic Research Institute Foundation, American Cancer Society, W.A.G.S. (Wonderful Animals Giving Support) or Pets for Vets.
