Karen Shirley Bryant

Karen Shirley Bryant, age 68, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 11, 1956, to the late James R. Cecil and Evelyn M. Shirley. Karen was a loving mom, granny, sister, aunt, and friend.  Her family was the center of her universe. She radiated happiness, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around her. Karen was a retired pharmacy technician. She enjoyed watching soap operas, swimming in the pool, and most importantly her family gatherings. Karen brought light, laughter, and warmth to every moment. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, life-long partner, Sam McIntosh, and sister, Sonya Bentley. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nick Bryant (Stephanie), Tracey Bryant, and Whitney Clenney (Ronnie); grandchildren, Alexandria Bryant, Easton Best, Evelyn Clenney, Bryant Clenney, and Conner Clenney; niece, DeeDee Raney; siblings, Sharon Campisano, Carolyn Robinson, Joan Owens (Bob), and Monica Zimmerman (Tim); along with a host of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). The visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park
