Larry Malcolm Wright

After a long and courageous battle, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Malcolm Wright, age 73, of South Louisville on May 9, 2019. Mr. Wright was born on June 2, 1945 in Campbellsville, KY to Pauline (Barnett) Wright and the late Malcolm Wright. He retired from General Electric, was a member of Mt. Holly Methodist Church and a proud U.S. Army veteran. He was also a soccer coach at Beechmont, DeSales High School and Butler High School. Among those that preceded him in death are his father; and brother, Keith Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra (Frye) Wright; sons, Shannon Wright (Kim), Michael Wright (Melissa) and Jeremy Wright (Bridget); cherished grandchildren, Isabelle, Hannah, Hunter, Cooper and Cory; mother, Pauline Wright; siblings, Gary Wright (Jackie), David Wright (Judy) and Denise Miller (Chet); many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Mt. Holly Methodist Church (804 Mt. Holly Road Fairdale, KY 40118) with interment in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1-8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) and on Monday from 10 am until time of service at the church.
