Lela Mae Garner

Mrs. Lela Mae Garner, age 69, of Okolona returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Mrs. Garner retired from Jefferson County Public Schools where she worked as a teacher's assistant. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, James and Hazel Dotson; son, Donald Garner, Jr.; and sister, Agnes Taylor. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 51 years, Donald Garner, Sr.; grandchildren, Donnie, Alisha, Alyssa Hope and Gabriel Garner; great-grandson, Jordan Woods, Jr.; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
