Linda Gaddie

Linda Gaddie, age 80, of Louisville returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She was born on May 6, 1943, in Louisville, KY to the late Roy F. Downs and Bonnie V. Lasley.

She was a retired dental assistant, working for Dr. William Gist Dental Office in Louisville, KY for over 30 years. Linda was a member of 1st Christian Church of Taylorsville, serving as a Board member. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching UK basketball and was an avid reader.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edna Downs; mother, Bonnie Lasley; husband, Grover Gaddie and brother, William Downs; sister, Rosemary Cloe, and sister-in-law Patsy Downs. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Debbie Neichter (Don) and Michael Gaddie (Pam); grandchildren, Lauren Motto (Jake) and Ryan Gaddie (Emily); great-grandchildren, Hazel Motto and one on the way; sisters, Sandra Collins and Carolyn Stephens; brother-in-law, Carl Hume, and a host of extended family and friends. 

Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy 44E @ 123 Winning Colors Drive) with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park at 11:00am on Monday, April 29, 2024. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
