Lucy E. Montgomery

Mrs. Lucy E. Montgomery, age 89, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 21, 2020. Mrs. Montgomery was born in Louisville, KY on September 9, 1930 to the late Delbert and Mary Pierson. She was a member of Summitt Hills Baptist Church.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her husband, Paul Montgomery; daughter, Cheryl Wilkins; siblings, Mildred Rennert, Edward Joe Pierson, James Pierson, Delbert Pierson, Jr., Beatrice Gagel, Henry Pierson and Violet Wahnowsky.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Melissa Ball (Kenny) and Jeff Montgomery (Carol); grandchildren, Chuck Wilkins, April Wilkins, Josh Ball (Megan), Jaclyn Gerard (Billy), Audrey Montgomery and Jeffrey Montgomery (Lexi); 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving extended family and friends. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the dear staff of The Springs at Stony Brook who treated her like family.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church (7709 Bardstown Rd., Fern Creek) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Summitt Hills Baptist Church.
