Marcella P. Johnson

Marcella Padgett Johnson, 95, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on January 12, 2023. Marcella was born on March 7, 1927 in Lincoln County, Kentucky to the late Matt and Mamie Jacobs Padgett. Marcella is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur D. Johnson, Jr. of 70 years; infant son, Anthony Johnson; grandson, Nathan Johnson; and sisters, Elsie Keith and Florence Taylor; brothers, J.D. Padgett and Joe Padgett.

She is survived by her children; sons, Jonathan, Christopher (Kathy), Jeffery (Stephanie) Johnson; her daughter, Julia Johnson; 9 grandchildren, Jonathan Johnson, Jr. (Margarita), Jeremy Johnson (Tricia), Jennifer Butler (Chris), Andrew Johnson (Marchele), Matthew Johnson (Taylor), Madeline, Zachary, and Alexandria Johnson; 9 great-grandchildren; and  2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church (5708 Preston Hwy.) on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be held at two locations, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Monday, January 16, 2023 from 3-7 pm, and at Pleasant View Baptist Church 13571 KY-1247, Waynesburg, KY on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11 am-1 pm with funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery, Waynesburg, KY.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
