Marjorie A. Harper

Ms. Marjorie A. Harper, age 85, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Ms. Harper was born in Louisville, Ky on July 18, 1939, to the late Amos Hardin and Helen R. Gilkey Rogers. She was a loving and cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and sister. 

In addition to her parents, her children, Marquita Harper, William Harper and Michael Harper and her siblings, Raleigh, Betty and Rose preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Charles Harper, Amos Harper (Ruth), Pauline Harper (Mona) and Lisa Harper (Steve); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; siblings, John, Debbie, Nancy and Rita; a host of neighborhood adopted children and other beloved and dear family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of her service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
