Marlene J. Hoffman Birt

Mrs. Marlene J. Hoffman Birt, age 73, of Campbellsville, formerly of Louisville returned to her Heavenly Father on November 27, 2016. Mrs. Birt was a child care provider and homemaker. Mrs. Birt was a member of Fairdale Christian Church and Woodlawn Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Maurice and Jewel Clark Hoffman; husband, Tom Birt; sisters, Pat and Dot; and brother, Don. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Jewell Shafer (Steve), Jeffery Birt (Lorena) and Angela Calabrese (Jonathan); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Kevin, Robbie, Ethan, Spencer, Seth, Mason, Maxwell and Kennedy; and great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Morgan, Clay and Jayden.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Fairdale Christian Church (9000 Brown Austin Road Fairdale, KY 40118). Cremation was chosen. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society. Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) is in charge of arrangements.
