Marvin Jesse Barr

Marvin Jesse Barr age 70 of Shepherdsville was born May 15, 1944 to the late Jesse James and Bessie Ellen Fisher Barr and returned to his Heavenly Father August 12, 2014. Mr. Barr was a member of Calvary Holiness Church and a retired welder for Louisville Gas and Electric Company.

Among those who preceded him in death include a sister, Ida Mae Barr; brothers, Johnny Rayhill, Joe, Davis, Stanley, James and Albert Barr and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Gloria Schaffer Barr; son, Michael Barr (Amy); sister, Esther Beck; brothers, Clarence, Frank, Leo and Marshall Barr; seven Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 P.M. Saturday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Mount Eden Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday at Schoppenhorst
