Matthew C. Davis

Mr. Matthew (Achilles) C. Davis, age 30, of Shepherdsville, KY was born June 4, 1982 to Bro. Gerrell and Mary (Burden) Davis in Louisville, KY and returned home to his Heavenly Father peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family November 29, 2012. Matt was a graduate of Bullitt Central High School and also attended Saint Catherine's College where he played baseball. He was a true "University of Kentucky Fan." Matt was a born again Christian. Matt loved his Mom and Dad, his sister, all his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, however more importantly Matt loved the Lord. Among those that preceded him in death include his brother, Brian Glynn Davis and his father, Brother Gerrell Davis. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary Burden Davis; his sister, Kelly Jo Hepner (Ray); 7 nieces and nephews, Amber, Brian, Chloe, Jami, Jennifer, Jessica and Joshua; 5 great nieces and nephews, Gavin, Hayden, Isabel, Payton and Johnny; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Hebron Cemetery.
