Michael James Grider

Michael James Grider age 72 of Shepherdsville was born August 22, 1942 to the late William Holbert and Ruth Coffey Grider and returned to his Heavenly Father May 3, 2015. Mr. Grider graduated from Southern High School in 1960, and served for 2 years with the U.S. Army and was a member of North Bullitt Christian Church. He retired from International Harvester and owned and operated M & C Outboards INC. His hobbies include boating on Lake Cumberland with his family and friends and was an extraordinary billiard player.

Among those who preceded him in death include his Parents; brothers, Eugene Dale and Coleman Hays Grider.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 42 years, Patty Reader Grider; daughters, Stacy Holllingsworth-Alstott (Craig) and Stephanie Baldwin (Dean); sister, Von Dean Winkler; brothers, Billy Sherrell Grider and Larry Grider; grandsons, Xander and Jax Baldwin; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 10 A.M. Thursday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Penn Run Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday at Schoppenhorst.
