Mildred M. Howard

Mrs. Mildred M. Howard, age 88, of Valley Station, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Mrs. Howard was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky on March 19, 1926. She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a retiree from the Jefferson County Clerk's Office and she was a mother to all who came to know her.

Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Billy Piper Howard Sr.; parents, John and Ann Raley; brother, John "Jack" Allen Raley and nephew, Joseph A. Raley.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, John Raymond Howard and Piper Ann Bilbrey (Wayne); grandchildren, Anna Piper Bilbrey and Christina Marie Bilbrey; brother, Joseph V. Raley (Peggy); nieces and nephews, Judy Krigler, John Raley, Jerry Raley, Janice Johns, Jennifer Curtsinger, Jeff Raley, Jason Raley, their extended families and a host of great nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church (Shepherdsville) with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.; use John Harper entrance). Expressions of sympathy may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation.
