Randell Ray Rush

Mr. Randell Ray Rush, age 86, of Burkesville, Ky passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with his family by his side. Randell was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on January 20, 1939, to the late John Rush and Bessie Rush. He retired after 42 years of service with Porcelain Metals in the maintenance department. Randell was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army. He was a wonderful dad, and grandpa. He loved spending time on the Cumberland River and Dale Hollow Lake where he enjoyed spending time fishing and boating. He was very talented in mechanics and working with his hands, it was said he could fix anything. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Hilda Burton, and brother Gale Rush.

He is survived by his son Douglas Rush (Dana), grandchildren Taya Martin (Zach), Jake Rush (Emily), Lori Rush and Jada Rush, great-grandchildren Ezekiel Martin, Shiloh Martin, Atlas Rush, and Jericho Meyer.  Along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway, and John Harper Freeway). At 4:00 p.m. a small memorial service will be held.
