Raymond C. Montgomery

Mr. Montgomery was born March 14, 1922 in Springfield, KY to the late Samuel and Annie Dean Montgomery. He was a United States Army veteran who served during World War II. Mr. Montgomery was a retiree of Ford Motor Company and was a Chaplin for the UAW. He was a member of the VFW Post 5710, American Legion Post 157 and Bullitt Lick Baptist Church.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his first wife, Lottie Montgomery; second wife, Mary Montgomery; parents; brothers, Johnny and Cecil Montgomery and sister, Frances Devine.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Ronnie Montgomery (Nancy), Margaret Mayes (Hilbert) and Anna Witham; seven grandchildren; several great and great- great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
