Richard "Ricky" Wayne Barber

Mr. Richard “Ricky” Wayne Barber, Age 72, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. Ricky was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 10, 1953. Ricky had a great personality, and the ability to light up the room. He loved to laugh and cut up with everyone. Ricky was an avid University of Kentucky Fan. He enjoyed Watching and collecting NASCAR memorabilia. Some of his hobbies include fishing, hunting, watching wrestling, softball, taking walks at Bernheim Forest and anything outdoors. Ricky's greatest love was making memories with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret “Bosse” Barber; siblings, Mary Stout, Ronnie Barber, Denny Ray Barber, Diane Cornwell, Jerome and Lawrence Barber. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Barber; children, Brittany Barcus (Shawn), Tiffany Burba (Tony) and Dustin Barber (Nicole); grandchildren, Cordell, Austin, Kayleigh, Brad, Abby, Beau and Ellie; siblings, Jimmy Barber (Debbie) and Kevin Barber; Favorite Uncle, Buddy Bosse (Sue) and family; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with a host of other dear family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 5:00p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
