Rita V. Carter

Mrs. Rita V. Carter, age 79, of Okolona returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 1, 2013. Among those that preceded her in death include her husband, Robert "Pappy" Carter; parents, Johnny and Ethel Rogers; and grandson, Timothy Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Linda Carter; sons, Bobby, Donnie, Steven and Timothy (Elizabeth) Carter; five grandchildren, Alex, Krystal, Steven, Jr., Bradley and Rita; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Jr., Brian, Jr., Isabell, Braxton and Aidan; brother, Ralph Rogers; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery.
